Applications to the undergraduate programs for the fall term are accepted through February 1, with an application fee of $50. In addition to the application form and fee, students must provide high school transcripts, test scores, and an “insight resume,” which shows the student’s self-understanding and achievements. To be admitted, students must have a high school GPA of at least 3.0, and meet the college preparatory requirements. These include four years of English, three years of mathematics, three years of social studies, two years of science, and two years of a foreign language. Proficiency in American Sign Language satisfies the foreign language requirement. Applications can be submitted on-line.

Graduate students must provide the following for admissions to the graduate school: transcripts, application and fee, and materials as required by the department. Students who do not meet minimum undergraduate GPA (3.0) requirement may also need to supply letters of recommendation and test scores. A graduate application has an application fee of $50.

Students applying to the professional programs in the College of Pharmacy and the College of Veterinary Medicine must have appropriate pre-professional course work at the undergraduate level.

For admission to Oregon State, first year students must have a GPA of 3.0 in their high school coursework, submit their ACT and SAT scores, meet college prep requirements, and submit an “Insight Resume.” This Resume presents an overview of the applicant as a person for Admissions personnel to understand where, exactly, a particular student might fit at OSU. It includes accomplishments, perspectives, talents, and participation in whatever activities the student feels are appropriate.
